House Design Fundamentals

The success of any house depends on the quality of its underlying design. When the design fundamentals are wrong, even houses that look good on the surface will usually be difficult to live in and have too high an environmental footprint. Spend a Saturday afternoon with Slow Home founders John Brown and Matthew North and learn about good residential design. In this interactive workshop they will demonstrate how you can use their revolutionary new Slow Home Test to think like an architect and evaluate the design quality of any house. This workshop will help you to better understand the house you currently live in and what you might do to improve the way it works and feels. You will also learn how an evaluation of design quality will help you to make smarter real estate choices.
